How does my choice in College affect the Price?

A concern everyone shares is the cost of going to college and the worry that you can’t afford it. Today you will see the difference in price that certain colleges have.

TCNJ will act as the instate public while PennState will be the out of state public. The instate private is Bloomfield College and out of state is Muhlenberg College.

Before Campus

There are expenses that are needed to be payed before you get on campus the following expenses show how much is necessary to get on campus.

Tuition

Tuition is the first major cost of college in the graph(right) it shows the different cost of colleges tuition and the difference between them.

Housing

When you get to college you need to secure a place to stay. The following graph(left) shows the prices for on-campus living. This is because some colleges do not allow first year students to stay off campus.

On Campus

When on campus there are expenses that will be needed to continue your new college life.

Food and other necessities

Once on campus you need to eat, get books and other supplies that are necessary for college. These are the averages for each college.

Other expenses

Finally there are some expenses that can’t be categorized due to the fact that they are not always present at every college. The expenses could also be free at other colleges such as parking.
